The targeting criteria are determined either by DCW or the relevant social media platform. Such sponsored and targeted ads are marked “Sponsored”. If you click on our posts, we register it.

We are joint data controllers with Meta and Google for the collection of your personal data when you visit, follow/like, or otherwise interact with us on third-party platforms.

Newsletters

When you have agreed to receive a newsletter from DCW, we collect personal data that we use to send you news and other relevant information.

  • Transaction and financial information relating to the customer (to the extent that such information includes personal data), such as invoice information, bank details, and information from credit rating agencies.
  • Survey and customer satisfaction data (provided they are not anonymous), such as survey responses and feedback to DCW.

The above personal data is collected only to the extent necessary and relevant to the customer relationship and interaction with DCW. As a general rule, we collect your information directly from you or your employer when it forms part of product orders or otherwise involved in the commercial relationship.

We use the relevant personal data to ensure a personalised customer relationship based on your preferences and interaction with DCW. In addition, we use the relevant personal data for the following purposes:

  • Customer relationship management, e.g. analysis, administration, and support for the customer relationship going forward.
  • Communication and optimisation of marketing and sales activities.
  • Planning, execution, and management of contractual relationships with the customer.
  • Compliance with legal obligations.

Suppliers
When you work for a company that is a supplier to DCW, we may collect personal data for use in our business relationship.

The personal data collected and processed by DCW for these purposes include, among other things:

  • Work-related information, such as your industry, job title, and employer.

The above information is collected only to the extent necessary and relevant to our business relationship and your interactions with DCW. As a general rule, we collect your information directly from you or your employer when it forms part of product orders or otherwise involved in the commercial relationship.

We use the relevant personal data for day-to-day administration in relation to our business relationship, including but not limited to:

  • Planning, administration, and processing of invoices.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal obligations.
  • Administration and enforcement of contractual obligations.

Job applicants

We primarily recruit new employees through a recruitment agency, which also has its own privacy policy. When we receive an application from the agency, or you send an application directly to us, we process your personal data confidentially.

3. Legal basis for processing personal data

DCW only processes personal data to pursue a legitimate purpose and provided there is a legal basis for such processing. The legal basis includes:

  • That you provide consent to the processing when required.
  • That processing is necessary for the performance of a contract.
  • That processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation to which DCW is subject.

4. Who do we share your personal data with?

DCW may share your personal data when necessary for the purposes described above.

  • With DCW business partners, such as sales and marketing partners, digital services and IoT partners, logistics partners, etc.

DCW will never sell your personal data or intentionally share it with unauthorised third parties.

5. Storage of personal data

Your information will be stored securely and confidentially. Only persons with a legitimate need have lawful access to your personal data. DCW retains personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

6. Your rights

  • You can lodge a complaint regarding the processing of your personal data to the Danish Data Protection Supervisory Authority (Datatilsynet) or the relevant local supervisory authority.
