About Danish Clean Water

Disinfection solutions for a safer future

At Danish Clean Water, we develop effective and sustainable disinfection solutions that keep water and surfaces safe for people and animals. Across a wide range of applications, we help our customers protect health, improve operations, save resources and reduce CO₂ emissions.

Our solutions are based on innovative electrolysis technology, which creates the disinfectant Neuthox® from just water, salt and electricity. It combats harmful bacteria and removes and prevents biofilm.

We develop, produce and quality-assure our solutions in Sønderborg, Denmark – from disinfection units for on-site production to bottled Neuthox disinfectant.

Founded in 2008, we are a family-owned company dedicated to creating long-term value for our customers and partners.

“Disinfection is changing. There is a growing need for solutions that protect against harmful bacteria while avoiding hazardous chemicals and using less energy and water. That is exactly where our technology can make a difference.

The transition is already happening, and we invite you to be part of it and benefit from safer disinfection.”

What drives us

Our vision

“We lead the way to a safer and healthier future with innovative disinfection.”

Our mission

“We create effective, sustainable and user-friendly disinfection solutions with electrolysis technology – ensuring safe water and surfaces to improve the health of people, animals and the environment.”

Certified quality and environmental management

ISO 9001 – Quality management

We work systematically to ensure high and consistent quality across our processes and continuously improve the way we develop, produce and deliver our solutions.

ISO 14001 – Environmental management

We also work systematically to reduce our environmental impact by managing waste responsibly and minimising our energy and resource use.

Sustainability in practice

Since 2023, we have voluntarily reported on our environmental, social and governance performance using the European VSME framework for small and medium-sized companies. This helps us make our sustainability work measurable, identify areas for improvement and provide documented information when our customers and partners require it.

Examples of how we put this into practice:

Safe and caring workplace

We have operated without a single workplace accident since the company was founded in 2008. We also provide health insurance to support the well-being of our employees.

Reducing our own footprint

Our environmental initiatives include energy-efficient LED lighting and comprehensive waste sorting to support recycling and minimise waste.

Calculating product carbon emissions

We have completed CO₂e calculations for selected DCW unit models, covering raw materials, transport and production. This enables us to meet the growing demand for product-specific climate data and provides a stronger basis for future improvements.
